I disabled everything I don't use on my phone so it wouldnt try to run in the background and use my resources, but after doing this I checked my running tasks and the one labeled Settings went from about 50mb to around 120mb. So I'm kind of curious, did disabling apps to save resources make my settings task double in size? And if so wouldn't that make disabling apps pointless, It appears to be using more ram then before.

Post a screen shot of what is using RAM and we can see what the problem could be. Remember, the device needs certain services to run efficiently. If you disable something that needs to run you could have more problems than leaving it enabled.

The only reason to disable an app (I assume you are referring to the ones that come with Android and can't be uninstalled.) is if one that you do not use still uses your data connection. Android is not like Windows and when it needs more ram it will stop something not in use to free up what is needed.
