Disabled Messaging App

When I got my Samsung S9, one of the first things I did was disable some of the Samsung apps in favor of Google. So after a year I now want to enable a couple but there is no enable "button" to allow this. Any suggestions? Marie

Samsung apps are enabled by default. Messages for example... Settings>apps>3 dots top right>default apps>tap message and you'll see the option to choose Samsung messages.
