Disabling swipe up gesture for Google Assistant

I know it's my sound weird, but is there any way to disable the swipe up gesture when you're on the home screen for activating Google Assistant? I activate it many times when I don't necessarily want to and it gets annoying. I usually just activated with the hot word, or the active edge.

What device? I have a Pixel 2 XL and have no such gesture...

Ah sorry Pixel 3 XL....yeah I had a funny feeling it wasn't able to be disabled...

It only activates if you swipe up from the corner, correct? I haven’t had an issue.

Yup,. That's correct. I don't have any issues with it. It just gets annoying sometimes, that's all.
