Disabling voice recorder

S24+ on Verizon. The voice recorder app is a system app, and so it can't be deleted. I was on a call today and my cheek inadvertently brushed the screen where the voice recorder icon is located during a call, and everyone on the call suddenly heard the "this call is being recorded" announcement. That's a problem and is unacceptable (never mind potentially illegal in jurisdictions that require 2 party consent before the call begins). I haven't seen that icon before so it must be from a recent update. I do not want to be placed in the incredibly awkward position of having to explain, perhaps in the face of skepticism after others hear that announcement about being recorded, that the whole thing is an accident b/c my face came into contact with the screen. Imagine being on a business call with a new relationship you're trying to cultivate, and then the other person hears an announcement like that. Awful., and the whole thing raises several layers concerns including privacy concerns.

You can force stop and then "archive" the app from settings, but that doesn't remove the icon during a call or the announcement about the call being recording if you touch it. The call record feature should obviously be something you can toggle on and off, with "off" being the default and resulting in no icon on the screen whatsoever and no active recording functionality unless manually turned back "on" in settings. Samsung's competitors offer it in that exact fashion...

I'm curious if anyone has found a way to delete, disable, or render the app uselessIdeally, the fix would remove the icon, remove the ability to record a call, and prevent the automated voice from ever being heard. The only viable option I have come across is to download a different dialer (which either doesn't have the call record feature or has it such that it can be disabled), and then make that dialer the default. The problem with that is the 3rd party dialer will not integrate as well with other important features, such as visual voicemail.

I'd love to stick with the native dialer as I have for many many years with Samsung devices, but this permanently-in-place call record feature is a big deal for me.

I'd appreciate any tips...
