When putting my phone in pocket, the shortcut to Google talk activates from the left lower screen even when locked! Can I disable?

When putting my phone in pocket, the shortcut to Google talk activates from the left lower screen even when locked! Can I disable?

Been trying to figure that out too. If you Google it, it seems to be a problem across brands.

Happened occasionally on my Moto X. Happens pretty often on my DT2.
