Discouraging news

So long as the updates don't screw something else up with the phone! However, more to a phone than the cameras...like the signal quality!

You're right and the signal quality is supposed to be stellar. I have one on order and looking forward to it. I'm sure Samsung can fix the minor things.

From what I have read, the new X65 modem is great for reduced signal areas. I'll find out for sure since I live in a very low signal area.

What am I supposed to be looking at here? It just brings me to the sites homepage.

I guarantee they got a cease and desist from samsung and pulled the article. There's an embargo on reviews of the phone, I believe until the 25th.

It was a camera comparison of the S22U and the newest version of the IPhone and Pixel. The comments about the S22U weren't great. Over exposed and some other stuff. That's the jist of it. Nothing that's causes me to say I need to cancel my order and get an Apple or Pixel.

Thank You for the explanation. Good to see you back in the forums.

I thought one YouTuber mentioned Samsung didn't put embargo this time around for first time

Maybe they let favorable views stay? Supersaf has a camera test versus an iphone pro max or whatever, and danny winget has s22 ultra vs s21 ultra camera test. They were favorable but they did give a nod to the comp sometimes. If there was an embargo I'm sure those two wouldn't break it.

From what I been seeing the camera is better on the S22. There's a ton of YouTube comparisons now. Unless Samsung is letting favorable videeos stay up. I also saw that there was no bargo date

First of all it is HIS opinion. I looked a the photos and yes were lighter, but to me overexposed means non-usable. Also, all is subjective. There were a few of the S22 he like and I would have preferred the iPhone photo. To me, most of the 6 photos (not all) were over saturate.
So was it all a bad review? Not in my opinion. But all should see it, and all make their own opinions.
And one thing to note, these files are compressed from the original size to display on the web. In addition, your home computer (or smart phone) may not be up to snuff to really give a good look.
I have two laptops, one with 1920x1080 and another with 3840 x 2400, and there is a difference when viewing the photos.

I never assumed the S22 ultra camera's would supersede the iPhone or pixel 6 pro. Just as long as it can hold its own in most areas.

I agree and I think the S22 Ultra will do fine in most areas. Samsung has been good lately with updates and I'm sure they will tweak the camera software. I've been experimenting with the 108 mode on my S21 Ultra and I've gotten some good detailed shots of my cat although the file sizes are larger. I dump images to PC daily so not a problem.
