Disk Drive

I was wondering if anyone else had the problem with their disk drive mode. I was trying to transfer files from my Incredible to my Thunderbolt but when I plugged in my Thunderbolt it kept saying that it could not find the driver for Android Phone. The computer won't find the memory card or the phone itself as a disk drive.

I contacted HTC and VZW and both were clueless after having me reset the phone and everything. I have Win 7, everything is up to date and still no luck. I tried it on a MAC and another PC running Win 7 and no luck

I finally ended up having to put my phone in media mode which finally gave me access to the mem card but still not the phone's drive. Anyone else have this issue or have a fix?

HTC Thunderbolt Disc Drive Failure

I'm having the same issue. Also went through VZW and HTC support lines. No luck.

Installed HTC sync, and got it working. All drivers appear to be installed. formatted my SD card, tried my old Droid SD card, factory reset my TB, tried all possible combinations of USB cords (old and from the TB box), even installed VZW crapware. Still, no luck at all getting disc drive mode to work. It just reads as a CD drive (F) which, when opened, locks up Windows explorer.

I feel like the issue has to be the drivers, but I'm not quite technically adept enough to fix this issue myself.

Here's a summary of my current standing in case anybody is kind-hearted enough to assist:

-Running Win7
-I can access the SD card through media sync mode or the HTC sync software to transfer files However, transfers are not always optimal (all my music folders starting with an "O" had the "O" dropped when transferred, for instance).
-When in "charge-only" mode, the PC still tries to connect to the phone, showing a CD drive (F) which locks up Windows explorer or winamp (which tries to read the drive)
-When in "disc-drive" mode, the same CD drive (F) appears, which freezes things up.
-My old droid works fine with my PC, and my TB works fine with the computers at the VZW store.
-I would really like to get disc drive mode working so I can use winamp to sync my media files regularly and for general transferring.

Anybody have any suggestions or ideas about where my issues may lie?
