Question display but no touch

I dropped my A 32 a few times, cracking the screen but leaving all touch functionality intact, so i replaced the LCD + Digitizer. But quickly realized that i had display but the screen was not responding to any touch. I checked all of the connections, , but was not able to resolve the issue, so i put the old one back on. But now i am also getting a display but without any touch again. Can anyone help me, this has me stumped.. Thank You!

Hard to diagnose an obviously physical issue without having access to the actual device, but if I had to guess, something got 'fried' while replacing/installing the panel. If you have electrical debugging chops, I'd start with the digitizer circuitry (check connectors, controller chip pinout, etc.), but the safest bet at this point is to probably do what you did this to avoid: take it to a repair center.
