Sooo, was wondering if anyone else has come accross an issue like this. I received my LG G6 yesterday, brand new out of the box. While watching the Stranger Things title sequence on Netflix last night in a dark room with brightness turned close to max, I couldn't help but notice a red "smudge" like artifact on the screen (see picture). Strangely enough, the smudge almost goes completely away when applying pressure to the screen above it, and becomes very much more visible when applying pressure to the screen below it. Also, it only seems to be visible on a black background with the brightness ramped up above 65%, and disappears completely with any other color. So strange..
I remember back when the iPhone 4 came out, there were complaints of a yellow smudge on the display of many units. Apple mentioned that it was caused by some sort of bonding agent used during assembly of the phones that had not yet fully dried, and that it would go away after a few days. I wonder if this is also being caused by something like that, and if I should wait, or just ask for a replacement ASAP. Thoughts?
