Display issue: screen won't display what I'm typing?

So every once in awhile, I will notice that what I have typed isn't showing up on the screen. Swiping up or down so the page moves will populate the missing text. It's definitely not lag in terms of the phone registering my keyboard presses. It seems like a display issue. It's happened 3 times now I think, and I think it was just in the Samsung email app. I really hope it's just a software issue and not faulty hardware. Has anyone had any issues like this before, on this phone or any other?

Yes, I have had the same issue. It started happening immediately after the most recent update to my phone. At first I was excited that they had better/new emojis, but quickly realized that there were bugs. I am experiencing the same issue where the text field no longer accommodates for a message that is more than 6 or 7 words long. It still registers what you are typing and if you physically scroll inside the text field you can see all that you have typed, but unlike when it used to work properly, you cannot see your whole message at once. Also, occasionally the text message app basically freezes and the individual text message screen with one contact will repeatedly load as a blank screen. The only fix for this is to close the messaging app entirely and reopen it.

I was hoping that Galaxy or Android would have fixed this by now as I noticed it day one of the new update and have not been able to find anything on how to fix it.

Hmm, your problem seems to be a little different from mine. My stock messaging app works fine. I've tried to reproduce this "not displaying text while typing" problem in several apps over the last day, and it's only the stock email app that has this problem. I refuse to use the gmail app because I don't like how colorful it is, so I will have to put up with the occasional "invisible" text until an update is rolled out. Kenslo, it sounds like your problem is also software related, so hopefully an update is coming for you too.
