Android 14 (honor phone)

This has made my phone unuseable, it's really bad

It looks like split screen but I think it isn't see images. I don't know what I did (swiped up maybe??) but now you can see the messages app occupies most of the top half of the screen in the foreground and will not go away.
I have even tried restarting the phone and it comes back

Any ideas please?

Is the Messages functionality frozen in that image as well, or can you actually do things with it?

Does it matter if you change the wallpaper?

Thanks for the reply
Actually after the third (fourth?) restart it's gone away, but it did happen once before so I'd like to fix it properly

No the app is fully scrollable. I didn't try to send a message. The menu is of course inaccessible being 2inches above the top of the screen

Will try wallpaper if/when next time

Thanks again

Actually, I don't think it's a wallpaper issue. It sounds more like a floating window issue. If you never use it, try turning it completely off: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/supp...pen a Floating Window,it as a floating window.
