Hey everyone, I recently acquired the Galaxy S8+ and its by far the most fun I've had in years using a phone. I change my phone every six months or so, I always like to test the newest tech has to offer. As good as this device is, I've come across a problem that has been bothering me. For Samsung AMOLED displays I like to use black wallpapers for the deep black. However I've noticed that on the top where the notification bar should be, while hidden it shows a Grey hue bar going across. It's a major turn off. It happens with both Nova Launcher and TouchWiz. I've tried tampering with settings but I can't fix it. Maybe you guys are aware of a way to turn it off. Any help would be wonderful. My friend who has a s8+ is also experiencing the same issue so I'm guessing it's something that happens across every phone.

My screenshot is getting cut off from the top while uploading here so it isn't noticeable in the picture. For those of you who have the S8, mind checking for me?

I just got that very wallpaper last night haha... As for any gray bars up top, I'm not seeing it on mine.

Does it show only when it's hidden? If it's not hidden, do you see a gray hue? I wonder if this is screen burn-in (highly doubt it, but hey, stranger things, right?).

I am seeing the exact same issue, and it's annoying as ****. I am betting it's a software issue, because when viewing black wallpapers zoomed in, the gray bar does not exist. You can see it when you go to set the wallpaper, at the top of the screen, and then after the wallpaper is set.

Weird thing is, I messed around with some live wallpapers and other wallpaper setting apps, and managed to get it set correctly (without the gray bar at the top) once.. and then, for no apparent reason, when I tilted the device, the active motion caused the wallpaper to slide down and the gray bar reappeared and would not go away.

So for now, I have chosen to use a gray wallpaper instead.. but I am seriously annoyed with this issue.

It's not a screen burn in, it only shows when the notification bar is hidden.
