Display most recent text message - Galaxy S3

If there is a text message open and a new text comes in from another party the open text message has to be closed in order to view the new text. Is there an app or way to always have the new text show "on top" of the older message rather than having to close the old message? It would be something like windows, where if open a new program the old one is behind it. What I am trying to accomplish is simply see the new or latest text on top when messaging is opened.

When you get a new TM it normally shows up in the Notification bar, and if you drag down you can see the preview and if you select it you'll be taken directly to that message.
If you're looking for more than that you'll have to look at 3rd party Messaging apps.
