Such is the problem with OLED screens on phones. Replacing the screen is the only real fix, so hopefully they will warranty it.

Not sure this can actually be called burn in and therefore not an OLED related problem. The shadows and discoloration move around for one, and they disappear at full brightness. See my video clip above.

Yes the issue is always with the low brightness and its increasing contineously day by day ... And also from previous 10 days i am feeling the screen burning issue also...what is the real solution for this?

Send the phone in as I said for replacement. Are you not within the two years?

I have buyed the phone from a local online website from china.. I have no warranty card amd box..How i can replace?

And iphone also uses oled dispaly from lg but they dont have any such type of issue.. Then why this is happening with lg itself?....realy disappointing

I was replying to Awais. I've never seen the problem you were having in the video. If I had to guess, it's either a software/driver issue, or something to do with the heat interfering with the signal as things expand/contract.

You can try contacting LG to see if you have any warranty, but I wouldn't count on it. So your options would be see if they will replace it at your expense, or find a local repair shop to replace it. You could try replacing it yourself, but I wouldn't recommend it yourself unless you've had experience in phone repairs.

Awaiss and I have the same exact issue. LG send me a brand new phone in box with all accessories under second year promise.

His weren't moving around like yours. At least, he made no mention of it. His issue sounds more like typical burn in.

Mine have also in second year ...But Lg will not ship thia phone to Pakistan because there is no Lg market in there and also LG is gone from China..

I m not goint to replace it by myself... I will use it for more 6 months and then i will replace it with lg v40...hope this issue will not be happend to the next lg phone

Do you have any friends in the USA? If you would like you can send the phone to me and I will send to LG for you.

Unless something new comes along that proves not to suffer burn in, all OLED based displays are suspect to burn in. That's just one of the reasons I'm still with my V20.
