Display won't turn off while charging. Help?

I change the setting so that the screen does not stay on while charging. However, when the phone has restarted the setting reverts back in developer options which is checked and the screen stays on while charging. This is annoying and it takes my phone longer to charge if I don't manually turn the power off. Can anybody help so this doesn't keep happening?

Are you running stock or rooted / rooted with a ROM?

I have a stock Evo.

Well if you're sure that the settings are right then I'd try a factory reset. Generally the go to fix for random issues like that.
