Displaying strange stuff

Ok, this is strange. Out of the blue this bar showed up across the top of my screen (see screenshot). When I drag my thumb across it leaves a mark similar to drawing in mspaint. Also when I tap the screen it shows lines from the top and side (like a grid) and a bulls eye on the point I tap. Not sure if I did something to enable this somehow or what, the phone was in my pocket while mowing the lawn, when I pulled it out, it was doing this. Please help with any ideas, this is driving me nuts!
Also, in case it matters, I'm running stock 4.04 unrooted.
