ditched dark mode, sort of

Is anyone else taking advantage of the new sunrise sunset dark mode? I turned it on last night. I've been using dark mode for so long that I forgot how nice and colorful the regular mode is. The color accents really look much better with the white.

Everything kind of feels cleaner and brighter and fresher. I guess I was just used to the dark for so long. It will still be dark mode after sunset but really enjoying the colors.

I enjoy dark mode. Haven't looked into it much, but it seems the option for constant dark mode is no longer than, only sunrise feature or dark mode has to be turned on with the phone each time.

You can turn it on and stay on. Turn schedule off and then enable dark mode.

I'm on the same boat forgot how nice white can be for a change. It's a bit refreshing so I as well have taken advantage of this mode sobat night everything still goes dark.

Yeah once in a while when I'm bored with dark mode all the time, I do switch to automatic sunset to sunrise setting. I do that on my Samsung phones and iPhones, now will do the same with Pixel.


I do wish though all apps hook into the system default theme setting. Some apps still have only dark/light instead of dark/light/system default option.

I find dark mode so overrated.
White text on a black background just isn't nice to look at. Hence why have white paper & black ink.

I have tried it & just cannot live with white text on a black background.

I'm old and I like dark mode. I even have my internet search engine set to dark mode.
