Ditching Cupertino Kool-Aid for some Jelly Beans

Cheers for that. Something made me think there wouldn't be recommendations against Aqua Mail.

I was just trying to find a way to add unified search to the Note 2, but looks like Samsung did have it and removed it because of a possible Apple patent dispute... D'oh!
Anyone know of easy options to get that back? Apps or find the .apk from an older ROM that had it?
Just looking for some way to have a single search bar that will search all local files on the phone with an option for internet search as well. (Basically the same as the search that iPhone has.)
Edit >> Just went to the included Google search bar to look on the web for something I wanted to find on my phone, then it popped up the very item on the phone I was looking for. Problem solved!

Another question about 3rd party launchers & lock screens - they completely replace TouchWiz rather than running on top of it. Is that right?

So many questions because there's so many options on Android! Completely the opposite in that regard coming from iPhone... I made this to send to a couple of my mates who already switched to Android, pretty much sums up my experience so far:

Yes this is correct. The 3rd party launcher replaces the TW launcher. But you can switch back and forth between them if you want to go back. You won't lose your settings. But I believe you will lose some of the S pen features if you drop TWiz.

I've not used aqua so no comments on that. However I do use K-9 Mail client which I think it's one of the best if not the best. You can do pretty much all of the stuff you were looking for, in addition to some other near features. For instance K9 has a universal mail box where you can read all your emails from different accounts from one folder so you don't have to jump around to each email account. It's also the only push client I know of where you get your email instantly(for pop and imap). One last advantage is that it's open source so it's free and you don't have privacy concerns.

Yes remember you don't have to go crazy with android, you can leave it as is and it still works great. Just because you have choices doesn't mean you have to explore them all. Take your time and don't get overwhelmed :)
