Diztronic case issues

Just got my E4GLTE yesterday, LOVE THE PHONE.

That said, when I tried to put the DIztronic TPU case it was a PITA to get on just due to how fitted it is, but once I got it on my phone just kept turning on and the power button would barely press down again constantly turning the phone off.

I tried modifying the case because I did like it but it still kept doing it, until finally when I go to take the case off in frustration it rips off the whole top back cover.. me thinking breaking it but luckily it didn't break it it just took it off.

I have two questions.

1) has anyone else experienced this with the case? I'm going to return it to Amazon (hopefully I get my money back because I did try to modify it by cutting the power button area)
2) does the back cover slide off? or does it peel off? The reason I'm asking is because once I put the glossy back cover back on it seems like it rises ever so slightly above the kickstand area and I can't remember if it was flush before or not. I'm worried the DIztronic case might of jacked it up but I'm not sure. I'm trying not to worry too much about it since the back cover went back on but I'm not sure if it's meant to peel off or slide off by pushing up on it.

Lastly, has anyone tried the gel cases from Sprint? I loved them on my OG Evo and think I'm just going to go back to getting one of those with a Sprint screen protector.

Thanks!

Did you have it on upside down? There should be a cutout for the power button. The case does take a slight bit of effort to get it on but not much. A bit confused on how the power button would be impacted by this case.

I noticed on the reviews there were a few others with your problem. It looked like they contacted the seller and they were sent a new case, no questions asked as I believe it's a known issue with SOME of the cases sent out, while others are just fine.

I just received mine and it fits perfect and I have no issues with the power button. Did you order it direct or from Amazon? Some people might be receiving the wrong case

Thanks for the responses guys, I did receive it straight from Amazon.

I rather just have a refund at this point as I don't want to damage my phone trying to get this case on and off, and once it ripped my back cover off when I tried to take it off I just don't want to deal with it anymore I rather have the Sprint gel cases which are easier to install/remove.

Can any of you comment on my 2nd question? regarding the back cover?

Thanks.

i got mine from amazon and was having the same power button issue. the case just touches the side of the power button so if the phone was in my pocket it would hold the power button down. i took a razor blade and opened the hole up and the problem went away.

I have this case and it fits perfectly power button works with no problems

I got a gel case from Best Buy on yesterday and am having the same issues. Power button sometimes gets pressed and keeps trying to turn my phone off... and when you try to remove the case the whole back cover comes off... I'm not sure of the vendor though because the mobile techs put it on for me and I didn't bother to ask for the box. I'm going to try to do some stretching of the case a bit (at the top near power button) and if that doesn't work I'll return it to BB.

I noticed that too, it happens everytime I take the cover off. Just depress the middle part and it'll snap back flush along with the kickstand.

I did that, but right near the kick stand it isn't 100% flush.. that said, I'm not sure if that was how it looked before I put the case on and accidentally had it remove the back cover.

Nothing looks broken and it seems like others have experienced this so I won't worry about it. When I go into Sprint to get a gel case ill check out the display unit to see if it has this issue.

Have any of you guys bought the Screen protectors from Sprint? Are they any good? I like the ones that STICK on as opposed to using water.

No issues at all. been using it since I got the case on Saturday. Fits liek a glove. COuld not be happier

I still don't understand how people are having problems with this case. I ordered mine directly from Diztronic's website and all of my cutouts are perfect...right down to the mic holes.

I guess mistakes can happen......

I just got a screen protector and gel case from sprint.

In all honesty, the gel case from sprint looks/feels better to me than the Diztronic. Granted it cost more, but my old one on my OG Evo lasted me 2 years w/o any issues.

Some evo have tuffer rear covers than others. mine just snaps in but my girls was slightly higher than mine like you are saying with urs. I noticed I had to make sure all three bottom pegs were in the holes before clipping the top in
