Some evo have tuffer rear covers than others. mine just snaps in but my girls was slightly higher than mine like you are saying with urs. I noticed I had to make sure all three bottom pegs were in the holes before clipping the top in

I only saw 2 pegs one on each side... are there more? I didn't look that closely but I only saw two at both ends and I did have them in.

I have a case on it now so I won't notice it again until I go to put my 32gb microSD card in.
