Hello ladies and gents. I am new to the whole rooting thing on these phones and i had a question about the DL09 update. I am currently using a Mac and i used Cory's method for rooting my phone today. My question is how can i flash DL09 on my phone using a Mac? Everything that i have seen so far is for a pc.

Any help would be great! Thanks!

I just commented on another post fellow Mac user haha. DL09 is supposed to be OTA but people haven't received it yet. That's the only way to get it until it gets pushed to us.

This is just about the only reason I have Windows bootcamped...

I was thinking about doing that as well because i had a BB before this phone and trying to do stuff on that with a mac was a nightmare. Still on the fence if i want to do that or not.

I dont have a mac, but do They have Odin for MAC? If so you can just download the full DL09 package and flash it through Odin. Then re-root and all that

I didn't know they had an Odin for the Mac! I will have to google that.

Just to make a clarification if i do find Odin for Mac are the steps the same as with the PC and i would of course have to un-root my phone then use Odin correct?

You either mis-understood me or i just worded it wrong, i was asking YOU if they have Odin for MAC, i was not sure

No, there isn't Odin for Mac... It's a PC-only application.

Yea i was not sure thats what i was trying to ask, but was taken as me saying to get it as if it existed. My apologies for the confusion. Fire up parallels ! WIndows comes in handy

At this point if i knew how to i would. I think after my BB and now this phone it would be wise to have windows on my mac as well.

I know the phone wouldn't connect in VMware, you could try Parallels. Might have to Boot Camp though.
