Dl09????

Wow. Sorry guys. I didn't mean to cause so much fuss. I am fairly new to the android community. I saw the site and was curious. I have come to trust AC and XDA. As I have no expierance with this other site or even irc, I posted the question here. I do feel bad for the guy who leaked it. No good deed goes unpunished. Hang in there, you are a rock star to most of us. I know I appreciate how much better my phone is because of people like you.

No worries.

DL09 is nothing. Really. I did leak it, yes, and I yanked it because it was a direct insult and disrespectful action against me to post it on forums. More importantly, though is that I am sure my source is watching and I will probably never, ever, see a leak again. So I lose out too.

That said,

DL09 is a complete sidegrade to DJ05. The bugs present in DJ05, are still present in DL09. No newer features or anything. I cannot tell any difference.

So, its not even worth seeking out, in my opinion.

Well I'm going to pee on the party some more and just say WTF is the problem with getting a NON LEAKED update.

I'm sorry...I've tried hard to bite my tongue, suck it up...but I'm just so pissed at this point that we not only can't get working GPS (among other things) but WHERE TF is FROYO.
ok....I know this post was of NO help or use. I'm sorry...it was 100% selfish vent.

But I'm so freaking fed up. Can we PLEASE AT THE VERY LEAST GET A FRIGGIN FIX TO GPS WITHOUT HAVING TO ROOT?????

Seriously...I'm a girl and got seriously lost in a bad place because of a detour and the fact that it took my GPS 8 friggin minutes to lock.

Root your phone or keep getting lost, mademoiselle

I wish I could...in order to have work email access I can't be. It's my personal device but apparently they check for root because when I was rooted they booted me off the server.

Well, there is a complete, unrooted dj05 package on XDA. It's an Odin install, I haven't used it so don't take my word for it

You could also try root/dj05/unroot if you don't want to lose your data

One of the reasons we root our phones is so we can get some relief from the short commings of 2.1. Atleast it was for me. However once I rooted my phone I learned all the stuff I can't with stock. I know I wont install 2.2 until I know be rooted. I wont go back to stock.

it works just fine, for stock.

Thread has been cleaned up. The pictures of the posts on XDA are absolutely unacceptable and appalling. We will not allow anyone to speak that way in our forums.

That said, on the general topic of leaking leaks outside of IRC, I still stand behind my original statement that we are not going to police these kinds of posts.

Edit: I removed the links, because the person in the linked pictures was absolutely vulgar.
