I recently upgraded my phone to the leaked version of Froyo, and everything works great except I cannot mount my phone in my car. My car connects to the phone via a standard USB connection, same as my PC, but for whatever reason my PC mounts fine, my car says, "device error".

Anyone have any insights as to what could cause this problem?

do u have the car craddle?

The app? Yes, though I've never before used it. My vehicle typically recognizes my phone as a large flash drive.

I'm beginning to think it had something to do with the fact that I upgraded from superclean and not the ota dl9. With superclean I had to turn on usb debugging in order to mount, which was odd to begin with.

no that has nothing to do with it. do you have the actual car cradle, not the app but the cradle.

Nope, no physical cradle to speak of. Just a usb plug in my car that I run directly to my phone which is set in mass storage mode.

That's how I connect mine in my truck as well. I haven't used it since updating but I'll try it in the morning and report back.

Well, I've tried everything I can think of: including using a superclean version of DL30, but no results. PC still connects perfectly every time, nothing from my vehicle. I'm probably just going to go back to DL09 later tonight.

if you have an extra 40 bucks try the cradle. its pretty cool now that it works.

One suggestion, under the USB Settings check "Ask on connection" and see if that helps. I know this is an issue with DL30 for some people.

Yeah, I'm not really seeing any major benefit from this update, but I've lost battery life and functionality from my phone. DL30 is not for me, not this release anyhow.

Edit: My last ditch effort to fix this is RubikS 3.0 version. After that I'm out of things to try.

I have been having the same problem and it's driving me nuts! I was on DJ05 superclean.09 and it worked perfectly. Just plug the phone into usb port in car, and it would play my music immediately after mounting sd card. So frustrating! If anyone can help with a fix, out would be greatly appreciated. OCD is a *****!!!!

LOL if you are OCD I would highly recommend NOT trying out beta/test/leak builds and expecting everything to work.

It never does! :-[

You got me on that one. Lol!
I think it has something to do with the fact that since i updated to DL30, my pc recognizes my phone as a cd drive unless I turn on usb debugging. Never had to do that on DL09.

Well, I reverted back to superclean. Mounting properly once again. I guess I'll wait until the official release of dl30, then try again.
