No, unless the app is Phone. Others use data.

It depends on what the application does - if it's making calls using your phone number then it will use your minutes. If it's sending text/sms, then it will use your sms/text allotment, and if it uses an internet connection it will use your data/bandwidth limit (unless you're connected to a wifi network).

Hope that helps - but you could always post the specific app if you're concerned.
