Do colors change if you tilt your device?

If you for example expand the notification panel and look at the white background of the buttons/toggles looking straight from the front, then you start tilting your device to the back (as if you were going to see the USB C port from the front, but tilting slowly) do colors change? For me the looking at the front it looks blueish white but when I start tilting it looks reddish white and if I continue again blueish white.

This is my second s8+, the first one that I had looked white from any angle but had other problems.

Mine turns a slight pink tint when tilting beyond a certain amount. I believe this is considered normal. I saw a similar tint shift when I viewed some LG OLED TVs at Best buy.

For those that owned the s7 edge, fid they noticed this too? As I said I didn't noticed it in my first s8+ (comparing both side by side) and on neither of my 2 s7 edge for the time I owned them. (Around 4 months each)

No. I never had it on my S7E or either of my Note 7s. This is new to the S8+. I think because they changed the screen tech to push more red instead of blue.

Same. Very disappointing. I think i also see a little red around the edges even if the device is not tilted.

That's because you're seeing the edge display at an angle from front, therefore off axis. View edge panel from side so it's head in and it'll look identical.

Aha, but it's annoying as i only see it on the left edge(and a little at the bottom), not on the right edge.

Weird, my panel looks colder, or a bluish, when I tilt my s8 to extremes. No red edges or tinting when angled. Whites are slightly red normaly because I keep mine a vibrant warm setting.

Damn I just can`t stand this red tint on my left edge, it`s so annoying! I wish samsung could fix that! I think I will try to exchange my device.

That's why I got the g6

How is the screen on the G6? The screen on the G5 was one of the worst screens I've ever had, then on the s7 edge and note 7 they were perfect I loved them, then on the LG V20 was just okay and on the s8+ it looks so good sometimes but when I use the phone while laying on a table is annoying, wish it was like in the s7 edge or note 7 just larger :(

I just returned my second S8+ today. My first one was fine but I wanted to try the G6 and then I wanted my 8+ again it seemed fine for a couple of days and then today the whites started turning pink. This new one I got today seems to be okay for now. The weird thing is the one that I returned would turn pinkish after being on a white screen for a while but once I went to a dark screen and back to a white screen it would be fine but would gradually turn back pick after some time being on the white screen. Now I really wish I had kept my original one, the screen was perfect on it.
I will say that my original one was a preorder and these other ones are coming from a local Tmobile store.

My first one was pre order too and I am staring to wish the same :( screen was perfect on the first one and the thing that the screen changed to pink when I tilt the device a little bit is starting to get really annoying

Mine stays fairly white. I don't see the pinkish/reddish hue being described. I even changed the brightness to see if it would be more visible. No change. Could it have to do with the tmobile update that went out to fix the red tint issue? I didn't have the issue to begin with, but I wonder if it still made adjustments.

All the T-Mobile update did was adding a slider to make colors warmer or cooler and also masking the edges at a different color than the flat section, but it is just a mask to correct a hardware issue, for example, if I "tweak" the settings to make the screen and the edges look white if looking at it from the from, it will still look red if I tilt it and there are angles I could also make it blue and I can clearly see a blueish/greenish hue that is is being displayed to cover the red that you would see otherwise since when you are looking at the phone from the front you see the flat part from the front but you see the edges at an angle.

It's very annoying when using the phone laying on a table or for example when using the camera that you have to move the phone to different positions and look at it at a different angle not exactly from the front, also when using from one hand, I tilt it to reach different areas the the color changes are very noticeable, I am hesitating about returning it since there is no other better phone on the market and I am not sure if it's worth the hassle if I am probable getting another one with the same issue

So what if you can see different colors when tilting the device. It happens on all AMOLED on white screens.

It's not like a "pinkish tint" will effect the color and quality of what you're watching. "I have pinks on my edges", and? It's not effecting anything.
