Do I have a stuck pixel?

After owning my 6P for 2 weeks, an apparent stuck red pixel appeared yesterday in the lower right corner of my screen. It was there regardless of what image was being displayed on my screen. I tried a few 'repair' apps to no avail. I called the great Google customer service and I'll be receiving my new replacement today - just one day later! At the moment, as I wait for my replacement to arrive, I observed the following: rotating the phone in an app, e.g., Gmail, Play Store, etc, causes the red pixel to rotate with the image so that it is always in the lower right corner regardless of whether it's in landscape or portrait mode. So, is this a stuck pixel? It seems to me it must be a software problem since it's not physically connected to my phone's screen.

Do a screen capture, if it shows up in the screen capture it's software, if not then I would say it's hardware.

Attached is one of my 7 screens. They all show the red pixel on the lower right corner.

I have rebooted a few times since I noticed it.

Yeah.. if it shows up in a screenshot (and rotates), it's a software issue. A very odd software issue...

You've rebooted your phone, but have you done a factory reset yet? I know that a FDR is a drastic step, but it'd beat sending it back for replacement.

What's worse for me time wise? A factory reset or setting up a new phone? I have the replacement phone already but I don't want to needlessly cause Google to lose some money. I will call Google tech support and give them another chance to solve this problem before I crack open the new 6P package.

I figured it out! It was caused by the app "Intelliscreen". I removed it and the red pixel disappeared. I reinstalled it and it came back. Wow! Google gets their new unopened 6P back.

Yay, great news! If it was a dead pixel it would've been frustrating and horrible. Now don't install that app again haha
