Do i have this right?

Im passing on and shipping my O.V on to a good friend and its currently running CM7 still activated to my account.

when the time comes could i do the following?

Now ive read some topics on what i can do but i was wondering if i could flash a IHO rom (for later).

Then recover the stock rom through recovery (for friends activation). then let my friend 'properly' do a restore on the previously installed fresh CM7 i did (through recovery)....could that work? would the phone remain activated still?

The purpose of this is because my good friend is not as savvy. Or should i just activate the phone for my friend, flash CM7 then ship?
Or would you recommend i just send it stock, let friend activate ...then show friend how to flash Cm7 rom?

any ideas, inputs, 2cent thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know if any froyo roms like BB let you activate?

put harmonious bumblebee, activate it for your friend, then flash to CM7 and make sure everythings working right.

i gave my OV to a family member and had to do that process.

you definately need a froyo rom or you cannot activate it to the new account.

the process of putting a new account on it will go easier if you can verify you were the previous owner as well. ive seen too many people get used OVs and not be able to put a new account on it becuase the previous owner left theirs active
