Do I need a case?

I just got an HTC One in black and I used special gloves to take it out it's box and as soon as I start examining it with my flash light I see some tiny circular scratches on the right & left sides that look like some debris, they can't come off that's what I hate about HTC phones they're fragil to scratches.

I ended up getting the shell case that Verizon sells. It's got a rubberized back and a kickstand. Adds some grip and protects the back and sides of the phone without adding much bulk. Also had a kickstand.

Im returning that case for a Seidio HTC One SURFACE Combo,,, to much on top and bottom exposed.

That's part of what I like about it. I don't like full cases I prefer snap on hard shells

This case is on pretty tight. Do you think removing it and putting it back on can hurt the phone? I was having Sim issues and removed the case to reseat it. Hoping it didn't do anything to the phone.

I run naked and have for a month.. Not any scratches or dents. This phone is very durable. Way to sexy to cover up.

Screw this running naked stuff. Figured, what the hell and gave it a shot. Took awhile to muster up the courage but I made it to the park. Had everyone staring and eventually got hit over the head by someone or something and I fell like a ton of bricks. Phone goes flying, but my case protected it. Can't say the same for my body - I grabbed my phone quickly and barely made it back home. Had all these people shouting "you're not sexy" and "cover up!". This running naked business...very risky.

Ok, seriously...I take mine out from time to time, and usually keep it in the Mophie Juice pack case if I need some real extra battery life or the HTC Double Dip case if I have to handle it a lot. My hands are usually dry so it does slip out quite a bit if I hold it with no case or the HTC case. Then again, the HTC case isn't much better - they should have rubberized it somewhat instead of making it so smooth. I actually find that if I don't case it, my hands get a bit fatigued because of the edging on it. I'm pretty on and off with cases and haven't had any real troubles with it in regards to scratches and the like.

Oh yeah, find the biggest, host hideous and giant case to put around it, and so when you sell it someone else can enjoy it's design... personally, I'm an ***** and mines always falling out of my top pocket when I bend over, or out my pocket getting in my Ferrari (Ok, it's just a SEAT)... so I'm denting it all the time, but better than than a giant hideous rubber case. I just get the dremel out and accept that, as an *****, it's going to get dinged.... but of course the choice is yours!
