Do I Need a Screen Protector?

There's no such thing as indestructible glass. If scratches are a concern to you, use a screen protector.

so now we are moving from discussing a general term "screen protector" to a specific product known as Rhino Shield?

btw, it sure looks like the GG does nothing there.

You made an erroneous generalization about screen protectors (which I quoted in my post to provide relevance to my link), so I provided an example disproving it. If there are ways to prove or disprove an argument without providing specific examples of evidence, I don't know what they are...

I don't care if it has Gorilla Glass 5, devices today are built cheap, it's mass production. If you drop it, chances are it will break. You don't feel bad until it happened to you.

I had a Samsung Galaxy S, it's not called gorilla glass or anything fancy, but I'll take its durability over any Gorilla Glass today.

Does anyone know of a screen protector that makes the screen visible with polarized sunglasses?

People with a screen protector and polarized glasses please try looking at the screen, with it rotated at different angles... let me know what you see!

I don't think there is a specific screen protector that works with polarized glasses. At least not that I've seen.

I see most people saying yes so I will say I had a n4 since it came out up until this week and didn't wear a protector at all and I don't have one scratch on the front and it feels 100x better than any screen protector.

As long as my phone isn't in the same pocket as my keys then I'm good.

Honestly you guys are missing a great experience with the screen protector covering the glass.

Now I rock the n5 naked and I'm convinced after a year with the n4 that I'm more likely to drop and shatter the glass than discover any scratches on it

I feel the exact same way i hate screen protectors it takes away the quality of the screen and how the screen feels. I also really hate when the screen protector starts to yellow after a while. No screen protector for my nexus 5 and i am happy.:)

Nahh.. Ive used screen protector only once on my galaxy nexus and ive had tons of phone before gnex. I think it depends on how you use it. Like for example we bought N4 for our mother and i already been using n4 for 5 month it took only a couple of days for her to put a few scratches. Because she puts it in her purse with all kinds of crap already in there. Or puts it in the pocket with crap like keys, coins and so on. The person just got no time to care about it. Unlike me, brother and dad. We keep our phones in the right front pocket. I was able to sell n4 for $200 (8gb) just because it looked like new after 10month of usage. My moms n4 is wrapped and protected from all sides because the phone would have been a history today if it wasn't protected.

I use a screen protector if only to increase resale value if you plan on selling it down the road
