Do I need an at&t sim to receive updates?

Hi everyone,

I have an at&t s7 and live outside the USA. When I check for updates via settings it says I have the latest but I'm still on the April security patches.

Welcome to Android Central! To receive the official system updates OTA, you have to be on the phone's original network. But you may also be able to use Samsung Smart Switch to update it.
