do i need MR2 update on my eris

I just got my Eris about 2 weeks ago. I have noticed on pcdphones.com that there is a MR2 update available. Should I do this update on my phone or does it already have it because I just purchased the phone a couple weeks ago. I'm still running stock 1.5 by the way. thanks for the help

It should already have it; MR2 was the update pushed in early January.

From Home, Settings->About Phone, my info is:

Baseband: 2.32.40.11.09
Kernel: 2.6.27-c77ff39d htc-kernel@and18-2)
Build: 1.17.605.1 CL104882 release-keys
Software: 1.17.605.1

If you have that, you have MR2. If not, you can go into System Updates and see what it says.

don't manually install it, as stated above your phone should already come with that update on it, or should automatically tell you a new update is ready. Otherwise no worries.

i hope we get 2.1 for the eris man i'm gettin sick of waiting. i'm starting to think we are not even gonna get it

oh it will come. a lot of us already running 2.1 and it running virtually bug free so the official update should be here really soon...

I honestly hope so. I mean its got to be coming to us since there is a leak of it out correct? Well i'm glade to hear its running bug free that is def a good sign for us. I talked to htc and they said probally at the end of april but who knows
