I have this error saying battery low. Recharge now. I'm currently running at 60%+ of my battery. I'm wondering why do need to charge it because it's already plugged in the computer so basically it is already charging.

I went through this and I believe it updated after my battery hit 50 percent.

With some updates it is suggested to be at 70% or better when upgrading. I would take the device out, put it on the charger to 75%, and then reconnect to Kies.

It's basically a recommendation and a prerequisite for OS updates via Kies as a way to prevent bricked phones due to the battery cutting out during the update process.

No sweat. Hope everything goes well.

Tried what you said and it continued to update. Thanks! Btw, how long does it take? I have 100kbps internet and it's been a while since it start updating (approximately 3-4 hours) and i'm at 39%. How large is the Firmware?

I would guess about 600 or 700 MB.
