Do Not Disturb and Phone calls

With the latest update, the Do Not Disturb settings go into place the minute I start a phone call. It is kind of a nuisance as I primary use my phone at work/for work related issues where getting a text notification can truly be emergent.

Is there any setting to turn this off so that it doesn't come on with phone calls? I can manually go into the settings and turn off after my call has started, but if I forget, then I wind up missing a bunch of notifications.

Noticed this as well, but I think once you hang up it goes away? I could be wrong..

It does go away, but so far with my luck, I have missed a few critical texts even during short calls.

I just tested. While on a call I was still able to get another call to come through and text.

It happens to me as well. But once I hang up do not disturb turns off

I don't understand how this is an issue. Once you hang up just look to see if you missed anything. If you're on Bluetooth then you can be looking at your phone anyway. I've never had a notification sound play while on a call on any phone. Unless it was another incoming call.

Maybe I'm missing something?

All my calls and texts come through whenever I'm on the Pixel.
