Suddenly my alarm is no longer showing on the screen when it goes off while do not disturb is on. I have to push the power button to access the alarm.

When I look at the notification settings for my clock, many of the options are grayed out and I can't change them. One of those options is the ignore do not disturb and it is in the off position.

How do I fix this? I'm using a Samsung A51 phone running on Android 10

Welcome to Android Central! In the Do Not Disturb menu, select Apps, and see what happens if you select Clock as an app that can interrupt.

Also long press the alarm clock app >tap info>notification>notification category>each category tap and scroll to bottom see toggle for dnd ignoreScreenshot_20220101-144019_Settings.jpg

The alarm option is turned on in the do not disturb sounds, so the alarm does go off, but I can no longer access the screen controls to turn off the alarm. Its a black screen, I have to press the power button to access the alarm screen.

The options in the notification settings are grayed out and I can't figure out why or how to fix it.

Double check anything on in accessibility settings like use volume/ power buttons to control sounds, check any 3rd party app in settings under device administrator services

I seem to have fixed it. I'm not sure how or why it happened. When checking the accessibility options, I started poking around in security options. I discovered that somehow my automatic updates had been turned off. Even though my phone still had been updating every Wednesday just as it had since I got the phone. The last update it showed was from July 2020. I manually updated it and sat through 4 updates and my phone is now using Android 11 and my alarm/do not disturb options are no longer grayed out. This morning my alarm worked just as it should. I have no idea what my phone has been doing if it hasn't been updating, but it's all updated now. Thanks for your help!
