Do not disturb crashes when opened in settings ]S7 edge]

Clearing data for the Settings app resolved this issue for me.

Settings > Applications > Application Manager > Settings > Storage > Clear Data

The app will close since you just reset it.

Open Settings again and DND now works.

Its definitely worth the try, but doing that didn't help me. Even going into recovery and deleting cache didn't help. For some odd reason it got fixed when I did what my previous post explained. I have no clue how that made it work but DND is working like normal now.

Hi all thanks for all the messages. I have resolved the issue by conducting a factory reset and ignoring the setup prompts and getting to the menu ASAP. Looking at the menu I could see that the do not disturb settings to schedule DND times was present and correct. I then had to log into my Google account, Samsung account and down load the apps and setup the phone manually without working from any backups and now all the menus work.

I had already completed a factory reset the day before using all the prompts and backups available and the issue was still there. I can only assume there is a problem with the setup wizard or the backups created the issue?

So to conform I no longer have an issue.

Many thanks Simon

Holy crap. This actually worked.

Possible Fix...

TL;DR Toggle DND on from quick settings. Plug into charger. Open clock app and start setting alarm. (possibly need to receive a message, it was an email for me.) Pull down notifications and tap DND notification... Success! (Hopefully)

Last night I had my device in DND mode from the notifications toggle. I plugged it in to charge then went into the clock app to set an alarm. While i was in the middle of that I pulled down the notification tab to check a message that just came in and accidently tapped the DND notification instead. Miraculously it worked and went into the DND settings. Now it works like normal.

No problem here (Sprint). Went into settings to DND, turned it on, changed settings, exited, when back in and turned it off. No crashes.

Nice! I'm glad to hear it's working for others too. It's probably one of the most bizarre fixes I've ever encountered.

I fixed it but couldn't get it to work the way that was described above.

Here's what I ended up doing.

I think I had DND turned off and then I turned the volume all the way down using the volume rocker buttons. When it was all the way down, I turned it down one more click. I then slid it open from the top and clicked the DND button to turn it on. I then clicked the DND notification panel and it opened automagically! :)

Hopefully this or some variation helps some people.

Good luck.

Now I just want it to turn off DND based on my alarms, like my CM-rooted LG G3 would do. :(

Is anyone else finding it crashes when you try to open it in settings?

Turned on Do Not Disturb from Notification Tray, Click and Hold on the Notification for Do Not Disturb that shows Turn Off. System UI Apple Settings will pop up, click on blue icon wI think an i on it. Clear Cache and Data, I think only Cache option was available. After that, settings for Do Not Disturb worked perfect.
