Do Not Disturb Failed

I have Do Not Disturb turned on and scheduled from 11pm to 8am next day as well as have Allow Exceptions set to Custom with Alarms On,...Repeat Callers Off,...Calls and Messages from Favorite Contacts Only set,...Event/task alerts off,...Reminders off, and for "Priority app notifications" I have every app set to off.....Well last night Instagram notified me twice during the scheduled Do Not Disturbed times set.

So what happened???

There are a lot of different settings that can affect what gets through, and these settings can be challenging to navigate.

I had the same issue with texts. Robert's comment helped me research and found that under the settings for advanced notifications I had text messages set as a priority which overrides do not disturb . I would check that setting.

Text was coming through for me as well when DND was on, did What Ezra mentioned above and that fixed that! Apps, settings, notifications, advanced, go down to the message app and where it says "set as priority" click that off.
