as far as i know yes. You have to go to settings, applications, manage applications and check the box for allow installation of third party apps

Sprint Android phones do. You just have to check the box to approve the installation. I did that when I used applanet.

just remember some apps require root so you wont be able to sideload those

Apps work the same on all Android devices. All of them will allow you to install from unknown sources. Also, as far as root goes, YES - some will require root to USE them, but you can always still install them. Just no point if you cant use them
