Do you have a Marshmallow/Lollipop alternative to HD Widgets?

I've been using HD Widgets for as long as I can remember to put the time and a detailed weather widget on my homescreen. Since getting the 6P and Marshmallow, it crashes anytime I have to reboot the phone. I think it is using KitKat APIs. It does seem to work after that.

I'm tossing this out to all you Marshmallowers... are you using something better to create a time/weather app widget on your phone?

1Weather has some decent widgets. I used one for quite some time. I have since ditched the widget in favor of a notification bar temperature reading (still from 1Weather though)

That's werid. I haven't had any issues with HD widgets on my device. Been using it for over a month. Are you using any different themes?

Nope. I used to use themes but the pure Google experience inspired me to use as little as possible. I'm wondering if I should just ignore the crashes since it does recover. I try to find apps using Lollipop and Marshmallow APIs assuming they target all of the advantages of the latest OS.

Take a look at Transparent Weather Clock. Works great on my N6p.

That's weird. I've been using HD Widgets since I got the 6P with no issues at all. Also no issues on my upgraded Nexus 7 (2013) with Marshmallow.

this. I don't use widgets but 1Weather is great ... one of the best looking apps available
