I used to, mainly because I had Verizon and most of the people I would text also had Verizon. Now I don't because they all still have Verizon and I have T-Mobile now. I also don't text as much as I used to, with Facebook messenger and the like around nowadays.

Nope! I text to a few family members. otherwise me and the girl friend use Google hangouts and what not. So its all online.

I just don't see a need for them. 99.9% of the time the person gets it.

I'd use it only on a selective basis. In a large majority of the cases when I text it's not really necessary.

No, because I can't find that option in Handcent.

No, don't have a need to. I text primarily to family and friends, no work related messages going out. If it's an emergency and I need to know if they read my text I'll just call.
