Do you keep your display on Auto Brightness?

Hi,

I prefer to keep my brightness setting at just below 50%.

Auto Brightness is a good tool but I don't always agree with it that the setting should in some circumstances go to 100% thus draining battery. I leave auto brightness turned Off.

I much prefer to use the slider as and when I feel the lighting conditions dictate
You can adjust the brightness level in the varying auto brightness steps.

This device has a front and back sensor for Auto brightness and also has a self learning capability in the auto brightness settings to get a general idea on how you would prefer your brightness settings. Leave your device on auto brightness for Two days and adjust the brightness levels as you please those first two days while auto brightness is still on. After those 2 days...the device knows enough to adjust your device properly without you tinkering with the brightness adjuster.

I keep on auto brightness all the time, however i don't feel it works 100%. Usually if i look at my phone in the middle of the night the screen gets pretty dim with how dark the room is. Last night when i looked at it, damn it was so freaking bright still. i even checked to ensure i had auto brightness enabled.

This is exactly what I do as well.

I keep my display at about 40% and that is plenty bright enough for me.
