Do You Put Apps on SD Card?

I used to always move as many apps as possible to the sd card in my og droid but since I often flash new roms I've never done it in my tbolt. I figured it's just one more step in a nandroid and I tend to use up sd card space fast with various backups and media.

Do you move apps to sd card?

Keeping in mind I often change roms is it worth my while? Will the tbolt then have more available memory and perform better?

I usually have about 90 meg of memory available when I check settings.

I change roms often and I always moved apps to SD card. I always did it because I felt it would help the phone. I honestly have not used a rom without moving apps to see if its sluggish or not.

I don't move any of them to the SD card. I used to, but didn't see any performance difference at all. And if your changing ROMs a lot I would just use mybackup from the market.

I never have...too lazy and I don't see any reason to since there's plenty of room on the internal memory.

When installing a new rom if I want to back up all apps with their data (I know NO sys data) how do I prevent the automatic download of apps from the market?

You don't. Just let them re-download. Restore data on apps you need individually. I dont move to SD card.

Would not syncing do that?

That's what I wondered but of course I would want gmail to sync. Just seems a one step "restore app and data" from file on sd card would be faster and more efficient than waiting for the market to download all of them. It takes a while to load a hundred apps!

Some roms like gingersense don't auto restore from the market. So i use mybackup pro.

I'd like to turn off the autorestore. My backup restores apps and data much faster than market

I know we've changed from the intent of this thread, but it is always a bit annoying to have to try to go to the Market to download MyBackup Pro after each flash and hopefully download it first before any of my other apps download. I wish there was a way to auto-install MyBackup Pro from the SD card after a flash without going to the Market.

Because the Thunderbolt has an entire 2.5 gb device memory, I just don't bother with apps2sd. I have 300 apps with a gb to spare.
