Do you really need to upgrade?

I don't think anybody really NEEDS to upgrade unless they are still rocking the flip phones. I have an S7E. I will upgrade because I want more screen real estate. And the hope that it has a better DAC for better sounding music. Should I upgrade? Probably not... But will I? Yes sir...

Hey... you can't take it with you.. might as well enjoy some things in life. To me this is just as important as any woman who pays as much for a purse/handbag. No judgement here....haha

I didn't say phones were my only vice either... We have to sometimes pick and choose which one gets the money and which one stays on the shelf... haha

In all honesty even with all that hardware upgrade the os samsung uses is crap. Unless you're buying the this phone to root its not worth the upgrade i think. that being said the price is also a big aspect to upgrade.
Heck i just brought a honor8 and 6x for my dad and sis and a iwatch for the wife and I'm sure all that combined will still be cheaper than the s8

If I bought it outright, I might keep my current phone or sell it once a year to upgrade.
I'll get the S8+ in April and the Note8 in the late summer. Typically, I just upgraded from Note to Note. The Note7 debacle kind of broke my cycle.

This is basically the same thing I do. JOD comes in handy in times like this.
