I love the Thunderbolt. The reboots were a pain but once the leaked radios came out life was good again. This is both my first HTC phone and my first time rooting. I love both.

I would trade mine for a charge or Droid 3 in a,heartbeat

Love it! Why would you get the charge with (touch crap) or the other phones without 4G when you pay for a data plan? It would be ok to get a 3g phone only if your no place near a 4G area. I used a charge for a day and it started to slow down and wouldn't respond to what I was touching. It also felt real cheap to me.

Like every new device it has had it's issues, but over all I am very happy!

I don't reget the phone , but somethings up with these phones. me and my wife when to pick up my son from scout world in Norwood. she has the Evo me the thunderbolt. both phone worked perfect Gps , weather app showing location everything signal bars showing all four. back in bklyn. sucks

Nope, I wouldnt trade you a bottle of Johnny Blue for it.
There will always be haters, an if you dont have any haters your doing something wrong, Nuff said !

My feelings exactly.

Definitely regret getting it. That's why I complained enough to Verizon about all the know issues and they are swapping mine for a new Droid charge.

I regret buying it now that other superior phones are available or soon to be available...but that's the way it's always going to be. There will always be something better right around the corner and you just don't know which ones are really going to take off in the market place and thus have the technical support to back it. They aren't going to back it as much if it's not a popular phone.

I wonder if there were any that voted yes, that were/are rooted and running a custom ROM

I have had more than my fair share of problems with the TB but I don't regret getting it. I'm not usually an early adopter of new technology because I don't like paying to be part of the test market. My only regret is not waiting until now to buy the TB. I had a Droid 1 that was still working fine. It worked great for over year and had no issues. My son is still using it with no issues. I got that phone a little more than 6 month after the hoopla, just wish I would have done the same with this one also...

I can get an upgrade in December and haven't really made my mind up. I have played with various devices and even though there are a lot of complaints, I still like the Thunderbolt. It feels great in my hand and I like what it does. I think by the time I am ready to switch, the quirks should be improved.
No phone is perfect, but I had to admit, I have never had an issue with my Incredible except for the stock weather. The phone is flawless. My call quality is excellent and so is everything else. I am not a Samsung or Motorola fan. I really do like HTC products.

I don't regret buying it. Few little issues here and there but I can manage for now.
That is until I just got the new update forced on me and now my phone rebooted in the middle of a call(didn't have the reboot issue before). Will look at learning how to root this weekend.

If you're waiting for your upgrade in December, I think it's a waste of time to read about the Thunderbolt. Don't get me wrong, I am in love with this phone, but the stuff that will be available by the end of the year is likely to blow this phone out of the water. I haven't kept up with the rumor mill, but I'll bet that there will even be a dual core HTC phone that will render this one obsolete on Verizon.

This poll is another reminder of how careful one needs to be when reading forums. While the TB clearly has had some significant problems for some users, the vast majority (myself included) are very happy with their phones. On the other hand, if you simply counted negative and positive posts, you would come to quite a different conclusion. All posts are worthwhile. Negative ones do provide a cautionary note to new purchasers. However, you have to always remember that most positive users don't have a reason to post.

You sound like you have worked tech support at least once in your life ;). I have to remind people all the time not to get jaded because of all of the negativity we see. When I worked for FiOS support, I learned that it was something like only 3% of the customer base who calls in to report issues. Completely changed my view of the product.

Back on topic, I really love my TB. Sure, there are cooler phones coming out, but that's bound to happen, and I knew it going in. I wish my battery lasted a little longer, but CM7 helps me get through a day easier than any of the Sense ROMs I had.
