Do you think the s8 is worth the upgrade from the s7?

I wish i had gotten an s7 afer my 2nd Note7 return. I paid $100 more for the Edge thinking it was a better phone. Im struggling to hold out for the unnounced Note 8 , I know the preorder goodies look great now but they should be equal or better in August.

S8 is also much better to hold than the sharper edged S7 Edge.

I rolled the dice and ordered the 7 Edge, figuring I could trade down to the S7 if it was too big. I ended up loving it so much I never thought twice about it. It feels really nice in the hand because of the curves. A couple of weeks later I held the S7 and was startled at how uncomfortable it was to hold. The thicker metal frame dug into my hand with every swipe, and after getting used to the 7 Edge, it was actually bordering on painful.

The S8 is definitely worth upgrading over the S7. Over the S7 Edge? Maybe? I'm still deciding myself.

I think an argument can be made for both YES and NO. On the no side, we could say that the cameras are very similar, there is marginal improvement or no improvement in the battery life and the finger print sensor is oddly placed. On the yes side, we can say there is a big upgrade in the screen department with near bezeless design, we have an improved front facing camera, have a new Bixby assistant and of course a brand new version of Bluetooth (5.0) which brings a host of new features

I'm upgrading both my s7 and s7 edge to the s8 and s8+ plus respectively. I think it's worth it in both cases.

This is a new generation phone. For me 64gb base storage, new design, bigger screen, free gear VR makes it worth it.

If it has the stuff you're looking for in a phone and it make you happy than yes. If you have some thing like the S7e and it works fine and still get the job done then no...unless it has what you'er looking for and it make you happy(Like in my case)

Have the GS7. GS8 is not an earthshaking upgrade. It does offer a faster processor, 64GB of onboard storage, a better FFC with auto focus, slightly better RFC, USB-C connector, improved water/dust resistance, improved BT connectivity, possibly better battery performance with a more efficient chipper, possibly offset having to power the infinity display. All this said, the GS7 is still a great device if you decide to pass on the GS8.
