Do you use a case?

If so, why and where do you use it? What case is it? If you don't use one, why? Have you ever dropped your phone before? How did it fare?

I don't use a case at home, but when I am out and about I use a Speck CandyShell Grip case. I like the feel of this phone so much I'm debating just not using a case at all.

I use the Speck CandyShell Grip case on my One all the time. I'm accident prone and my 4 year old daughter is always using my phone too so I just feel safer with it. I love the feel of it naked though!

I love the case we both have. And I have to agree with you, this phone is amazing naked.

Incipio. I think it's called the 'pro shine'. I wanted to keep the metal look of this phone and this case does just that. It has more of a stainless steel look when compared to the lighter aluminum of the phone but it looks great! I plan on sticking with this phone for a couple of years so i wanted some drop protection for it, this case has a shock absorbing soft rubber inner and a hard shell that slips over that. Not to bulky and it slides in and out of my pocket really well. I get otter box like protection and i still keep the premium metallic look that i like, best of both worlds!

My brother actually has that case and the back has start to peel off and it looks bad now, he has had it for 3 weeks.

Not really a fan, it feels cheap but it protects the One all around.

I have a Nillkin back cover similar to Spigen but I'm afraid it will scratch the chamfered edges from taking it off most of the time. I have it for the S4 as well but it looks more durable.

it really ends up being about what you do on a daily basis. general contractor, case. corporate job, maybe.... if you absolutely want to baby the device??

I use a Cruzerlite Androidified A2 clear (so the phone itself can still be seen) TPU case all the time. I mainly have it on there because a) even though the One is metal instead of plastic it can still be dinged and b) to give it a lip so when I set it face down the screen doesn't risk being scratched. The case also has ridges on the side which give me a better grip.

I use a Cruzerlite Bugdroid case for the raised lip for placing the phone face-down, and also for raising the back slightly so the back lens isn't directly touching the surface it's resting on. I'm ok with the phone's metal beauty being hidden for the sake of scratch-protection. 1st case for my first Droid device after years of the *i* :)

Cheers!

Incipio Feather, which is a very lightweight case that doesn't add any bulk to the phone. It gives some protection to the back of the HTC One to prevent scratches, and adds some grip.

Well, i use a Dracodesign Aluminum Bumper for my HTC One (i use a black one, though it comes in silver, red, and black), pretty cool i must say!

Does the screen touch when you lay it face down or is there a bumper?

I just ordered 4 or so cases 3 cheap 4 dollar ones that are TPU and 1 is silicone. I also ordered a case that claims it is aluminum, I will post pics when I receive them next week. The total was around 30 dollars. I also ordered some screen protectors and some other stand thing.

I'm using a white/grey Otterbox commuter. It's actually a nice case, and doesn't add too much bulk.

I do kinda hate myself for putting a case on this beauty, but I would hate myself more for scuffing the metal.

I'm using that carbon fiber body guard skin and screen protector in front. I feel that's all I need as I baby my devices and don't feel I drop them too hard. The backing is awesome but it covers up the awesome design of the back. I bought that tpu case it should be in tomorrow

There's a whole thread about cases, but I use the spigen clear case and I love it. I was really moaning about not using an otterboz but the feel of the air clear case is great!
