What's been your experience, good & bad?

One time, I needed an adjustment for a purchase paid for using Google Wallet. It was a good fuster cluck between the merchant, Google and my CC company, so I'm a little hesitant w/Android Pay.

I've used it once at Panera, it worked fine but it's also pointless. Pulling a credit card out of your wallet and swiping it is slightly easier. Also it doesn't support enough credit cards, they support Amex but they don't Chase Visa cards i.e. the Amazon Visa card, which is my preferred card.

I used to use the google wallet version of nfc payments for at least a year without a hitch. Then Apple Pay came out and merchants freaked out and started shutting terminals down and everything got confusing. I still use it but I dont go to many places that accept it other than Walgreens, where t works pretty well. Given the opportunity I would probably use it everywhere.

Agree.. It's neat but not any easier than just pulling out my wallet... I've only used it a couple of times.... I guess it would come in hand if I were ever somewhere without my wallet but still had my phone on me???? or left my wallet behind I guess because I can't imagine of a place I would specifically go without my wallet but have my phone.... Works with my Capital One Visa... not sure what the deal might be with Chase???

Used it once at Best Buy. I hope there's an option where in you can just press the power button 3x to show show android pay. Its convenient, but not as good as apple pay

Used Google once to test out back a while ago. Then used AndroidPay recently to test out. Mobile payments are useless. Faster to just pull out a card.

First thing was to find out if I had a CC that worked... Citi VISA does work, at least mine does. Next was to find places I can use it... Petco works... CVS looks like it should work, but doesn't (it appears they have not enabled their wireless reader yet, even though it's there and lit up). I have not found any other places to use it yet.

I've used it at Best Buy, BJs, Shaws convenience stores and more. Since I have the Nexus 6P it is very convenient and fast. Just tap my finger and tap the phone. Ready to go. I like the shell card they put in front of the actual card and when you have to use the chip card the phone is faster. You take out the card stick it in the terminal leaving it there during the transaction. Make sure you remember it when you leave.

I'm not sure where it is going to all end up, but it will be confusing. CVS has joined Wal Mart in refusing Apple, Android and Samsung Pay as they want to set up their own app to draw directly from your checking account. This will cut out the credit cards and save them money is their view.

It will be interesting to see what the future of credit payments will be. I sure don't know.

I've used it three times at a Trader Joes, Walgreens, and Jamba Juice. It's nice but not a must have and is more of a "cool" factor that actually being a real time saver. It was cool to hear the Jamba Juice employee say that she thought only iPhones could do that, lol.

i use it all the time and never had any issues. convenient than taking the wallet since i carry my phone all the time

Are you referring to BJs Wholesale Club?

I've tried Android Pay a few times but keep getting error messages. I like it because it doesn't expose my card to skimmers. It doesn't have to be more convenient, just more secure.

I'd use it if I could. I have one card that registers in the app but won't let me properly earn rewards because of the way the transactions are handled (Discover). I have a Chase card but those are not supported, I have a Citi card but it's a Citi-backed card and Citi hasn't enabled it for Android pay.

On top of that, I haven't seen a whole lot of terminals in my area that have NFC capability, many haven't even enabled the EMV readers, even if they have them.

EDIT: My Citi card is now supported, successfully added it this morning. Now to find a merchant that supports it. Funny enough, that's one of my two cards that have the EMV chip, neither of those were replaced specifically because the issuer was adding the chip capability.

I would love to but my bank (Huntington) isn't supported. Bummer! I've used Apply Pay when I had my iPhone and it was really nice to use so hopefully I will be able to use Android pay soon.

Yes, I use it all the time at BJs Wholesale club. No errors just have to tap the fingerprint scanner on the 6P to unlock the screen and I am ready to go. If you don't have the scanner it will need you to unlock the screen using the Pin.

Samsung pay is also better, since you can swipe up from the bottom to open Samsung pay, even with the screen off.

Haven't used it as my primary card (Huntington debit) isn't supported. Don't like using credit cards unless it's an emergency.
