I bought the Samsung manufactured "Shell/Holster Combo with Kickstand" at VZW store. The kickstand is unbelievably useful. Obviates the need for a desktop cradle since it props GN up in landscape while connected to charging cable. I use it as bedside clock.

Not to bash or anything but a phone cradle is easy enough to make, and if you are going to spend as much as verizon is asking for on the shell/holster combo case, you are just better off getting an otterbox defender case

Isn't the Otterbox Defender $20 more than the VZW case/holster combo? And it's much bigger!

I would like to see some pics of the phone in the VZW case/holster; eps3 would you be able to post some?

Does the otterbox defender have a kickstand?

I don't see it shown or described at the otterbox defender GN website.

Yeah, I almost overlooked it as well... The one time in my life I ever read the directions... The kickstand is part of the clip... it locks in the open position and is VERY sturdy and well ballanced...

It is a tight fit, but it does work with the extended battery. I've been using it for three days now, ti's tight, but works great.

I wouldn't risk it if I were you. The phone is not locked into the case if you're using the extended battery and case. You hit that phone a certain way on something it will easily pop out of the case and then BAM!

Is the otterbox kickstand landscape only?

Ditto the OP. It isn't bulky and feels great in the hand. One of my previous phones was the HTC evo. Now I can't have a phone without that as a option. Either on the phone or a case.

Sent from the Galaxy Nexus far, far away.

It fits a lot better without the extended battery back. I know it's not ideal but it's protected.

If you take the back off the GN with extended battery fits perfectly in the case. Not optimal but for now it works....
