Docs from a Verizon focus group [unconfirmed]

Well....I received info a month ago that it was launching LTE compatible.

I'm ASSUMING the info is correct. Better word :)

I thought the whole point of focus groups was to get peoples reactions to stuff like pricing, advertising verbiage, possible specifications, etc.

These docs sound like they were under the premise of, "What if we came out with a phone like this?" They'd want reactions to the specs and price points, ask what other features they would expect with this kind of design etc. I doubt this is referring to a phone that is even out of the early R&D phase. This is prolly a year out or so

but if it's that far out the 1.2 doesn't make any sense... bu then we will be up to 1.8 on the high end

not really. Samsungs SAMOLED HD screens are ready to roll out this year. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

hmmmm, I know Samsungs new tablet display will be using Pentile, wonder if these new SAMOLED HD displays are too??

To make a high-end smartphone .25" thick isn't even imaginable right now. Just the 1800 mah battery and screen alone would practically get to that thickness let alone a PCB with all the chips.

I don't put too much stock into that measurement to be perfectly honest. The 11 antennae neither.

Those are there for some unknown reason UNLESS they are actually true. Which in my case I would tend to believe. I don't put anything past Samsung to be perfectly honest. They know how to innovate and build tech like nobody's business.

The HD screen should be a work of art in and of itself. So who knows. Certainly not me :)

IF Samsung did somehow find a way to get reception close to Moto's with X number of antennas....I will become a Samsung fan in a heartbeat.

These got passed along via e-mail, supposedly from a Verizon focus group on the DB. Some of it doesn't quite add up though. Super AMOLED screen? Not seeing the "stunning design of thin KEvlar detailed with lines of diamond-cut spun chrome" ... at least in those Amazon pics."

Thoughts?

Look at this phone:
AT&T and Motorola Prepping a Sequel to the Atrix with a 720p HD Screen? - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

Kevlar Back: Check (although to me it looks more like Carbon Fiber)

720 hd Screen: Check

1/4" thick: Close (Check)

Chrome edging: Hard to tell, but some pics make it look so.

on Verizon: This one is saying AT&T, but with a name like DROID HD, it can't see how it doesn't have SOME verizon connections.

What ya think?

It would be pretty sad if Motorola has released the Atrix 1 and 2, and Samsung has released 5 different kinds of GS2's in different form factors and colors, and after all that, the Bionic is still not out.

Bionic Name Association:

When the Bionic rumors first started, I associated the name with something like this:

But now, it's more like this:

So, Moto and Verizon were promoting the Razr in July???? Where's the Bionic in all this?? Why did they even bother to launch it at all? Just to get the bucks off innocent customers who thought they were getting the latest and best Motorola has to offer? Well, the joke's on us Bionic owners. Ha. Ha.
