Does 2.2 fix sms bug??

I also have seen this a few times when in fringe signal areas or roaming -- particularly on the DC Metro. It didn't happen frequently enough for me to have thought of it as a bug, though. Just updated to 2.2 last night and haven't sent/received any SMS yet (I'm almost 40, so I only send/receive <1000 SMS per month... ;-).

Ok, I installed Handcent and my sound notifications are working properly. I guess the stock messaging app has some issues, especially looking at others post.

I've had this issue the past few weeks and its annoying the hell out of me. If this persist after the update, I will be going to a sprint store and see what they can do for me.

while typing an SMS i've had the app froze before. very rare. fix is to leave SMS app to home screen and then come back again.

anyone ever see this?

I would say it did fix the issue but its only been a few days. Before the 2.2 I would constantly get messages out of order. Now it works fine but other problems have surfaced such as my messages freezing and mms failing to send. Oh well fortunately I have other options I can choose from now.
