Does a faster micro SD make a difference when downloading movies?

So I wanna buy a micro sd card for my tablet but I'm not sure how far I should go in terms of the price. I don't necessarily want to buy the fastest microSD out there if it wont make a difference anyway when it comes to downloading movies. The highest download speed I ever observe on my torrent downloads is around 11 MB/s. Now I believe thats megabytes per sec, what the torrent client shows, and not megabits. If this is right and the maximum speed is also shown in megabytes per sec on the cards, then one with a max. speed of 48 MB/s should be more than enough. However, I'm really not sure if thats the case. Somebody please enlighten me!
